Contrada dinner before the Palio

After many days of waiting and of anxiety, the Palio has finally arrived and the contrade (quarters) are getting ready for the big day. It must be said, the Sienese are expert party-throwers. The entire contrada swings into motion and prepares a dinner centred on local products so that all of the members can eat, drink and sing, giving courage to the extraordinary jockey and his horse.
