Milan

With its 12,000 businesses, 850 showrooms, 6000 shops and 14 fashion schools with 6000 students, Milan is one of the world’s four fashion capitals, together with New York, Paris and London. For four weeks a year, the city dedicates itself entirely to the glittering world of fashion, filling itself with models, photographers, photo sets and runway shows. The city centre, however, is dedicated to fashion all year round – from the world’s oldest shopping centre, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, to the most famous shopping streets in the world: Via della Spiga, Via Montenapoleone, Via Della Spiga and Corso Buenos Aires, the longest commercial street in Europe.
