This exclusive 6-days/5-nights tour will make you discover the best of the Umbrian territory: wine, food, and nature. A relaxing way to explore one of the less known places in Italy but one of the richest.

Day 1 – Arrival to Florence or Rome + cooking class with starred chef
– Pick up from your arrival airport (Florence or Rome)
– Private transfer by helicopter to your 5-star Palace in Perugia, take the time to relax and get ready to experience one of the most special cooking classes.

Have you ever have the opportunity to be in a kitchen with a Michelin starred chef? Ok, now imagine that the chef is your teacher!! The owners of the palace open their own house for this cooking class to take place. The chef will reveal some secrets of its cuisine while preparing a special menu. The evening is going to end with a dinner where you will eat what you have cooked. Be ready to come back home and impress your friends, partner, and family.

Day 2 – Guided tour and wine tasting at one of Montefalco wineries

You may be wondering what ‘’Montefalco’’ is… Well, you are going to be one of the first persons to discover it. This is the ‘’new’’ trendy area of wine in Italy. No well-known as Chianti or Brunello, but really good.
– After a delightful breakfast at your hotel, you are going to meet a professional sommelier and an English speaking driver to start your journey into this particular land.  The tour starts with the presentation of one of the most important wineries in the area. Then, you will follow all the productive phases until the bottling. In the end, at the wine cellar, a private wine tasting with the most important etiquettes will be held.

Day 3 – Guided tour of an artisanal Chocolate factory

Once you got the first zip into the Umbrian surprises you are ready for a touch of sweet. Is it ‘’Perugina’’ a word that rings a bell? Perugia is a city in Umbria from where one of the most important Italian chocolate companies has it base.  So after your breakfast, our driver will pick you up and take you to this Chocolate factory. A magic place to discover how the chocolate production is. The team will show you all the productive phases of their chocolate delicacies and an artisan of chocolate will show you how to do tablets, cookies, pralines and little truffles. This beautiful day is going to end with a dinner at the Hotel, which is one star Michellin.

Day 4 – Rafting
– Hotel breakfast, meeting with your assistant and drive fun and exciting activity, an adventure for both children and adults.

No lessons or particular skill are required to face the river, security information will be provided by the guide. On request, you can also experience the river in two parts, for about 2 hours. After a lot of emotion, it is time to come back to the Palace and have time to relax maybe having a message on the spa.

Day 5 – Guided tour and tasting at an artisanal Brewery in Montefalco and come back home
– Hotel breakfast, meeting with your assistant and drive to go to a Monastery. Monastery for beer making? Yes, the monks of this area are into the beer bussiness. So you are going to discover all the productive phases of a line of top-fermenting beers as in the best Anglo-Saxon traditions of Ale, Ipa Porter and Wheat always testing new styles.

At the end, a 4-types tasting of beer and local products will be proposed.

Day 6 – Farewell! Last day

• Late wake up! And truflle based brunch!
• Transfer in Helicopter to the departure city (Florence or Rome)

You can really select great folks for our guides.  They are informative, funny, relaxed and pleasant.  We had a lovely time on the winery tours in Montalcino.  The venues were very different!  That made it even more interesting.  Loved the Mozart playing for the vines.

Roberta knew her history and information.  She was very pleasant to be around.

Alberta did a fine job with us in Arezzo.  She is a spunky little thing!

If/when we return – I will vote for Dutton to go through your services for tours.
