Florentine miracles: The Accademia & The Bargello

The Art of Leisure will lead you through the discovery of two dramatically different museums: the “Galleria dell’Accademia”, the home of the major arts and the “Bargello”, home to the minor arts. As everyone knows, the Galleria dell’Accademia houses great sculptures and paintings, like Michelangelo’s obligatory “David”. Less well-known is the Bargello, which has always housed magnificent artworks that have nonetheless not conquered the populace: bronzes, majolica ceramics, waxes, enamels, medals, ivories, ambers, tapestries, furniture, seals and textiles, but also more important works like masterpieces by Donatello and Luca della Robbia.
