Enigma Pinocchio
Dates: from October 22nd, 2019 to March 22nd, 2020
Location: Villa Bardini

An exhibition dedicated to Collodi’s Pinocchio: a wooden puppet universally recognized as a symbol of Italy and Tuscany. A journey through the 20th century to the discovery and interpretation of this legendary character.
Suitable for families, enjoyable by all.

Inside Magritte
Dates: from November 1st, 2019 to March 1st, 2020
Location: Cattedrale dell’immagine

In this exhibition, you won’t see any of Magritte’s flesh and bones paintings. In fact, his work is reimagined for the 21st Century viewers. Through light, video projection and Virtual Reality technology, art lovers gain a new perspective on the works of the famed Belgian artist.


The Missing Planet
Dates: from November 2019 to March 3rd, 2020
Location: Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci

The Missing Planet, at the museum from Autumn 2019 to Spring 2020, presents the current and last chapter of the great Post-Soviet trilogy at Centro Pecci in Prato and has no choice but to discuss a binary past: one of utopia and one of memory, starting from the works that remain from the two previous exhibitions.

From Isaac Asimov and Mary Shelly’s futuristic take on technology to modern robotics full of ethical dilemmas, this exhibit represents a journey through human capabilities, fictional and factual. And the evergreen question, how far can robots go in replacing humans?


Hokusai, Hiroshige, Hasui: a journey through a changing Japan
Dates: from October 19th, 2019 to February 16th, 2020
Location: Pinacoteca Agnelli

Through a selection of more than 100 extraordinary woodblock color prints by these three masters, Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Hiroshige and Kawase Hasui, the exhibition will take visitors on a journey through the most evocative places in Japan, both real and imaginary.


Van Gogh, Monet and Degas: the Mellon collection
Dates: from October 19th, 2019 to March 1st, 2020
Location: Palazzo Zabarella

The exhibition celebrates Paul Mellon and his wife Rachel ‘Bunny’ Lambert, two of the most important, refined patrons of the arts of the twentieth century. Great artists will be featured in the exhibit.


Paul Gauguin, Tahitians in a room
Dates: from November 30th, 2019 to March 8th, 2020
Location: Gallerie d’Italia – Palazzo Leoni Montanari

The exhibit features Gauguin’s “Tahitians in a room”, from the Puskin Museum in Moscow. Visitors will experience multi-sensory walks, floral design laboratory and other activities to dive into Polynesian colors and scents.


The Dark side: who’s afraid of the dark?
Dates: from October 19th, 2019 to March 1st, 2020
Location: Musja

The Dark Side project represents the ‘dark side’ that lives within us. The real or presumed stumbles of life impose a pause but, at the same time, they light new possibilities, new thoughts, new perspectives.


Festival Puccini, 66th Edition
Dates: from July 17th to August 23rd, 2020
Location: Gran Teatro all’aperto Giacomo Puccini, Torre del Lago

The festival devoted to the legendary composer Giacomo Puccini, returns this year with breathtaking location and talented orchestra. Puccini composed his great Operas, such as Tosca (1900) and Madama Butterfly (1904), in Torre del Lago. This year, celebrations for Maestro Puccini will feature Tosca, Turandot, Manon Lescaut, La Bohéme and Madama Butterfly.
