Glamping – luxury camping holidays

The word “glamping” comes from the fusion of “camping” and “glamor” and is the new frontier of outdoor holidays. It has become particularly popular in recent times, especially among tourists who want to enjoy the pleasures of a camping holiday without giving up the luxuries of a hotel.

The glamping trend comes from northern Europe and America, where travelers seek direct contact with nature, but also the comfort of a hotel, and is spreading quickly, especially in this period of pandemic, because in a campsite it is easier to keep the distance among people.

Sometimes called “boutique camping” or “luxury camping”, glamping offers facilities such as yurts, typical tents, pods (a kind of wooden huts), dome tents, caravans, safari tents and tree houses. The price of the various “glampsite” varies according to the services offered, which may include fresh bed linens, private bathrooms, catering services and private verandas. Often then additional services are also offered such as bike rental, beach umbrellas and deck chairs, surfboards.
Inside tents or bungalows, in addition to beds, there are often armchairs, sofas, bathroom, minibar, microwave and wifi internet connection, shower with hydromassage. For those who cannot give up a wellness treatment, inside the luxury campsite there can also be a wellness area, where you can enjoy a massage.
