Florence

“I reached the point where one encounters celestial sensations produced by the fine arts and by passionate feeling. On leaving Santa Croce, I had palpitations of the heart… life was drained from me, I walked with the fear of falling”.
Stendhal
This is how Stendhal described Florence in 1817: so beautiful as to make one faint before its majesty. The Tuscan city par excellence, Florence made and makes everyone who visits fall in love with it, thanks to the Renaissance atmosphere that still drifts through its streets. Strolling through the city it would not seem odd to run into Dante or Brunelleschi.
