The Hills of delicious flavours

The Pisan Hills are opposed to mass tourism; their little villages and old towns have never been besieged by the hordes of wild tourists fighting for the last souvenir. Even the small food shops are opposed, just like the towns themselves, to the coming of modernity: here one finds the smallest pasta factory in Italy, a master chocolate maker who still sells little delights at his shop counter, and small businesses that produce oil or wine, still far removed from the large-scale retail trade. A singular experience among the little gems of the Tuscan countryside.
